About ListingFormat

Small, focused tools for recurring seller tasks.

ListingFormat is an independent browser-based toolkit for people who need to prepare images for marketplaces, courses and creator platforms without installing desktop software or creating an account.

Why it exists

Marketplace image requirements are often simple but repetitive. A product photo may need to become a square, a banner may need a wide canvas, and a single source may need several versions. ListingFormat is designed to make that preparation step predictable and easy to repeat.

The goal is not to publish generic advice for every possible platform. The goal is to pair a clear explanation with a focused utility that helps a visitor complete the task immediately.

How the formatter works

The image formatter reads the selected file in the browser, creates the requested canvas and renders the output locally. You can choose Fit to keep the whole source visible, Crop to fill the target, or Stretch when distortion is acceptable.

When several destinations are selected, the same source is rendered separately for each target. Outputs can be downloaded individually or together as a ZIP.

Privacy is part of the product design

The source image is not uploaded to ListingFormat for image processing. The browser handles the resize and export session locally, which is useful for sellers working with unpublished product photography or client files.

The site uses privacy-minimal analytics to understand aggregate visits and product usage. The collected product events do not contain the source image or its contents. See the privacy page for the current details.

How presets are treated

A preset is a practical starting point, not a promise that a marketplace will accept every file. Requirements can change by platform, theme, content type and account. We keep the preset labels and explanations explicit so a visitor can check the target dimensions before exporting.

When a page refers to a platform's published guidance, it should be read as a dated reference and checked against the platform's own documentation before a large upload or catalog migration.

What we are building next

Future tools will stay close to the same workflow: inspect a source, choose a known destination, make the transformation locally where practical, and explain the trade-offs clearly. Useful suggestions include file checks, safer crop previews and repeatable publishing preparation.

ListingFormat is independent and is not affiliated with Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, Udemy, YouTube, Instagram or Pinterest.
